10 Health Mistakes Men make

Stop Seeing a Doctor
Overweight, drink too much alcohol, and snack too much—but you feel okay.  Guys, if you’re finding excuses not to see a doctor for regular visits, it is better for your health to make that appointment.
You Think You’re Not at Risk for Heart Attack
If you believe heart attacks are only for older men, it can threaten younger men too, especially if it runs in your family.  You can suffer as early as your 30’s.  Your age doesn’t matter, so take care of your heart by seeing a doctor and eating healthy.
You Ignore Snoring
Men who snore while sleeping are twice as likely to have an obstructive sleep apnea.  It not only annoys your sleeping partner, it can make you stop breathing for a few seconds and is linked to heart disease and high blood pressure.
You Skip the Sunscreen
Use SPF 30 or higher sunscreen every time you go out in the sun, not just golf or beach days.  And protect yourself by putting it on every part of your skin that is exposed to the sun.
Ignore Impotence
Ashamed of having problems in the bedroom—impotence has nothing to do with masculinity, and may not be caused by your state of mind either.  The main cause of impotence may be due to a lack of blood flow to the penis, or a sign of heart trouble.  So don’t get embarrassed and make an appointment.
Drinking to Beat Depression
While more women are more depressed than men, it is most often viewed as “female problem”—but more than 6 million men who have depression refuse to seek help, and instead resort to drugs or drinking alcohol to help them feel better, when in truth, it makes depression harder to diagnose and treat.
Go With the Flow
Do you keep track of your toileting?  Too busy to keep track?  It may be better if you do.  If you use the bathroom more than 8 times a day, or more than twice a night—it may be a problem.  It could be a medical problem, like an enlarged prostrate, overactive bladder (OAB), or a form of cancer.
You Keep Your Mouth Shut
U.S. women are more likely to visit a dentist than U.S. men, but it is just as important for men as women.  Regular dental visits can spot or prevent oral problems, and saying “ah” can reveal diabetes, Crohn’s disease, lupus, and leukemia.
Eat Meat and Potatoes Regularly
Most guys don’t get enough fruits and vegetables a day, but doctors suggest at least 4-5 servings to keep the heart healthy.  It also lowers the odds of stroke, cancer, or digestive problems, not to mention, it helps you manage your blood sugar.
Tempt Fate?
While it may be fun to drink, smoke, gamble, drive fast cars, or jump from planes, it can be bad for your health.  Men are more likely to do these activities than women, because when you drink more, it affects your judgment.  Some people don’t bother to worry about the outcomes to these actions, but it may pay in the long run if you do.
